Observe. Design. Pass on.
The architectural reflection collective of SGD A Architecture + Design, TALO Plans and APRÈS Architecte
Why “Regards”?
In French, the word “Regards” refers to perspectives, reflections or ways of observing and understanding a subject. It expresses a thoughtful point of view shaped by experience, context and critical observation.
Regards are those of our team. Our perspective, or rather our perspectives, on architecture and design as living practices, grounded in a specific context and constantly evolving.
The Regards section reflects the shared vision and complementary expertise of SGD A and its partner firms, TALO Plans and APRÈS Architecte. This analytical platform examines architecture, technical design and interior design as living practices shaped by context and continuous evolution.
Driven by the conceptual approach of the architecture and design firm SGD A, this series of publications focuses on architecture as a whole, with a particular emphasis on high-end residential architecture and commercial interior design. To broaden this reflection, Regards also brings together the designers of TALO Plans, specialists in contemporary house plans, as well as the architects of APRÈS Architecte. This unique synergy makes it possible to approach architectural projects through their full vertical integration.
Through these essays and analyses, the teams share the core reflections that shape their contemporary projects across Québec, Canada and international contexts.
Each publication offers a critical, technical and perceptive reading of current practices. Rather than imposing a singular style, the objective is to examine the constructive logic, real-world constraints and conceptual intentions that shape each intervention.
Regards is conceived as both a knowledge platform and a space for exchange, where architecture and interior design are approached through our shared perspective.
